Rita here, hijacking this feed to shout out Happy Birthday to our fearless leader. Johnny likes to say he’s just a fishing guide, but I’d exhaust the word count with all the hats he wears besides.

They’re all the hats you’d need to build yourself a home in the wilderness with no outside help, or successfully run two fishing lodges on a tiny off-grid island in the Yucatan.

He is also a teller of truths - whether you like it or not - a fierce and loyal friend to those he claims, a withering critic of those he does not, & possessing of the sharpest humor and wit you’ve ever cut yourself on. He’ll get your cast straightened right up, too.

Libby Damn is at full powerhouse and our upper elevations are letting go of the snow. This year pre-runoff fishing was a tight window, but that’s when fishing guides get their spring fix, so consider us fixed. Look to get on the books for good summer fishing and guides that can handle whatever you throw at them. #bookitdano
